Marfa Dialogues

AutoBody Student Visits

November 2011

Over the past month, we’ve had the pleasure of hosting students from Marfa Studio of the Arts and showing them around our current exhibition, AutoBody. We’ve had three different classes stop by, which was a real delight — the kids seemed especially thrilled by the transformation of Liz Cohen’s Trabantimino.

Marfa Studio of Arts (MSA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit arts organization located in the small, West Texas town of Marfa, situated 60 miles from the U.S./Mexico border. MSA was initially formed by artist Malinda Beeman in 1999 as a unifier, using the language of art to bring disparate segments of the local population together. Today, MSA is recognized for providing high quality visual arts programming for local children and youth through its special focus program, Studio in the Elementary School (SITES).
