Data Deluge Student Visits

March 2012

In March 2012, we had the pleasure of hosting students from Marfa Studio of the Arts to our spring visual arts exhibition, Data Deluge. The students explored Roberto Pugliese’s sound piece, went into Anthony Discenza’s A Viewing (The Effect), and filled out survey cards at Jennifer Dalton’s Marfa Info Station.

Marfa Studio of Arts (MSA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit arts organization located in the small, West Texas town of Marfa, situated 60 miles from the U.S./Mexico border. MSA was initially formed by artist Malinda Beeman in 1999 as a unifier, using the language of art to bring disparate segments of the local population together. Today, MSA is recognized for providing high quality visual arts programming for local children and youth through its special focus program, Studio in the Elementary School (SITES).
