Ballroom Marfa and Austin Classical Guitar present The Together Tour Concert on Monday, March 16, 2020, at 7pm, at the Marfa Visitor Center. This performance features the Austin Classical Guitar Youth Orchestra and young artists from Marfa and Alpine presenting music of living composers from Texas and New Mexico.

The Together Tour is a regional effort led by Austin Classical Guitar designed to remove physical and cultural barriers between young people and their peers through music and social collaboration. It is a six month partnership culminating in a series of performances in March 2020 by youth guitar ensembles from Albuquerque, Austin, El Paso and Marfa.

This special performance at the Marfa Visitor Center will be the final stop of the tour. The concert is a 45 minute program featuring statements of belief created by young artists from each ensemble and the music of living composers from Texas and New Mexico: Ashley Lucero (San Antonio, TX), Carlos Rios (Laredo, TX), Michael Keplinger (Brownsville, TX), Ike Katula, (Austin, TX), Travis Marcum (Austin, TX), Jeremy Osbourne (Austin, TX), & Joe Williams (Belen, NM), John Truitt (Albuquerque, NM), and Jeremy Mayne (Albuquerque, NM).

Partners ensembles include Austin Classical Guitar Youth Orchestra, Albuquerque Academy Advanced Guitar Ensemble, Guitar New Mexico Youth Ensemble, Americas High School Varsity Guitar Ensemble, Pebble Hills Guitar Ensemble, El Paso Community College Guitars and students from Marfa and Alpine Independent School Districts.
