A survey of Sarah Morris’ film installations occupies Ballroom’s South Gallery. Known for her graphic paintings of abstract architecture and urban design, Morris has also explored the dynamics of urban space in four film works made since 1998. The exhibition at Ballroom Marfa is the first time these iconic films–“Midtown,” “AM/PM,” “Capital,” and “Miami”–have been shown together. Rarely seen even individually in the United States, these urban portraits will stand in stark contrast with the vast landscape of West Texas.
