On repeat: Mulatu Astatke “Tezeta”

From the legendary Ethiopian jazz musician Mulatu Astatke (“the godfather of Ethio-jazz”). I was initially introduced to “Tezeta” via Dirty Beaches Trans-Pacific Radio Mixtape for Aquarium Drunkard (the track is culled from Ethiopiques 4: Ethio Jazz & Musique Instrumentale, 1969-1974).
